Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Carbajal

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I hope that you had a fun, restful summer and you are ready to have another great year of school. Middle and High school is a great part of your youth where we make new friends and learn new skills. This is especially true in Physical Education class where we seek to challenge every student to do their best every single day.

As many of you may already know, the goal in Physical Education is to improve your fitness while gaining the knowledge and skills needed to lead a healthy active lifestyle for the rest of your lives. While the course is rooted in movement skills and activities, students are also expected to apply themselves academically. Written assignments, projects and oral presentation skills are all a part of the Physical Education curriculum. In addition, social development, or the ability to work well with others, is a significant part of being successful in P.E.

It is important for students to understand that P.E. class should be treated just as any other academic subject. Many skills learned through movement can be applied to a variety of real-world situations. Students should understand that the world of Physical Education can provide a whole field career opportunities. Taking on every new task with an open-mind will ensure that you reach your highest levels of success.

I look forward to working with every single one of you and hope you enjoy the time spent in Physical Education class.

Let’s have a great year!
